Inez de Brauw

Inez de Brauw (1989) her work mostly evolves from a fascination with current Western society. She tries to find characteristics of contemporary society by looking at our history at different times and eras. The current works emphasize on how commerciality and mass production cause the loss of value and the change in meaning of objects and cultural symbols. Without taking in a position Inez de Brauw researches the origin of these objects and symbols and puts them outside their cultural context.
